Kari A, Operations Manager

  • Tenure with AFL and as a BCBA/RBT overall: My tenure with Adapt For Life is 1 year and a half. I have been an RBT since September of 2017.

  • Educational/Industry/Career Highlights/Personal Achievements to share: I have two bachelor’s Degrees, Psychology and Sociology from the University of Louisville. I consider it a huge personal achievement for being a first generation and non-traditional student to receive not just one degree but two degrees from a major university. I am a part of the National Honors Society and made the Dean’s list for three years. One highlight in my career is watching clients grow, talk, socialize, and play functionally. This field is special to me as a parent of a child on the spectrum. ABA has taught me so much and I also continue to grow and learn, every day.

  • One thing that most people don’t know about me: I consider myself an open book. Most people know that I am an ARMY BRAT but what they don’t know is that I have attended over 17 different schools since kindergarten.

  • Why AFL/What brought you to AFL: As I have said in my previous answers to the question, I love ABA. I want to be a part of a company that loves ABA as well. A company that puts the clients first and focuses on the importance of the quality of therapy vs. the quantity of the clientele. Adapt for Life proves that exists. Adapt for Life has amazing leadership and I feel that they truly value the staff as well.
